Weather, RSS and favorite applications on Symbian with a Homo

Several times we talked about alternative user interfaces for our terminals, differ depending on your operating system. Generally, these are very useful and interesting software on devices with touchscreen. For Symbian S60 Handy Shell had already talked about that, among other features incorporated the weather on the main screen.
Unlike the products mentioned above, today we present another always there for Symbian, which is different due to being totally free. It’s called Homo, in full Voyager Home Screen allows you to customize the main screen or better still the issue of standby time, with a highly customizable. Among the various features, we point out the possibility of having the fore real time news through RSS feeds and forecasts of their city.
Among other goodies, is a new feature quick search on Google and the call for applications and quick contacts address book: you can simply type on the keyboard numbers corresponding to letters of a contact or application, the system (style T9) will identify the desired content and propose to screen. Unfortunately, there are also limitations: they are not supported terminals 5th edition and the installation package is unsigned (not yet compatible with the procedure OpenSigned).
Although the phase of installation is impractical on the terminals of the novice user, we expect further developments in this short project, on which we will keep you updated. Download the latest version, the dedicated page.
