Wi-Fi Direct. Wi-Fi competes with Bluetooth
Big news by the Wi-Fi Alliance, a move that a surprise, but not too much, given that expected for years, has announced a new Wi-Fi specification that supports the direct connection between devices.The new specification nearing completion, called Wi-Fi Direct, will allow you to connect between multiple wireless devices without any need for gateway or router and should be available by mid-2010. Its main feature, that can be implemented in any device, be it a cell phone, camera, printer or laptop.
Needless to say how this technology are in direct competition with that Bluetooth already exists in respect of which have the advantage of being extremely fast and secure, provide the ability to establish links WPA2.
